BEN GEAR

Ben has been a PGA member since 2008, finishing his traineeship at The Terrey Hills Country Club. Then moved to China, where he lived and coached for 5 years.

Having spent time at a number of courses around Australia and the world, Ben has 17 years experience coaching all aspects of the game. From touring professionals, elite amateurs, junior champions, all the way through to beginners, Ben works with the students to achieve their goals in the game.

Ben is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified and qualified in TPI Junior Coach (level 2) and TPI Fitness (level 2). Ben is also able to converse in Mandarin Chinese. Specialising in short game coaching, ben enjoys working inline with the individual needs of the golfer, with a simple, clear and relaxed style of communication

The player coach relationship is key in creating great communication, making the session more productive, enjoyable and retainable this produces the best results. No two swings are the same, figuring out what works best for the individual and giving them the knowledge to be their own best coach helps to transfer the lesson improvements into long lasting habits.
